For many Houston families, the school day doesn't always fit neatly into the work schedules of parents. To help families do away with such issues, MSODT has introduced a Before and After School Program — a dependable, caring space where children can start and end their day feeling comfortable, engaged, and well looked after.

Whether your child arrives as early as 6:30 A.M. or stays until 6:00 P.M., they're always provided with a warm, caring environment — a natural extension of what we do during school hours. Children spend time outdoors, explore creative activities, connect with friends, and receive support with homework, all guided by educators who genuinely know them.

So while the program brings peace of mind for busy families, it becomes one of the most enjoyable parts of the day for children.

The Before and After School Program gives children a place where they feel safe, valued, and happy to be. Healthy snacks, homework support, and creative time are some of the meaningful add-ons — but what matters most is the connection. Children are cared for by guides who personally know each of them and build lasting, trusting relationships.

The program begins at 6:30 A.M. with a warm welcome and a nutritious breakfast right after. Children settle in for the day ahead at their own pace.

We take care of children's transport between their elementary school and our Before and After School Program campus with absolute certainty and safety.

Children return to their after-school routine with a healthy, nutritious snack. We take absolute care of every child's dietary preferences and food allergies.

More Than Just Supervision — A Genuine Montessori Extension

Not many parents may realise this, but the 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. timeframe is very crucial for children. If children feel bored or cranky during this time, they're likely to carry those not-so-great emotions through the evening. Which means if your child has had a tough afternoon, the day at home won't quite be looking up and chirpy for you, either.

At MSODT, we address this exact concern by building a calm, socially safe environment for children through our Before and After School Program. From healthy snacks and outdoor play to homework support, we make sure children feel safe, happy, motivated, and thoroughly supported throughout their time with us. A Typical Before & After School Day

From the first warm welcome at 6:30 AM to the final pick-up at 6:00 PM — every hour with intention.

6:30 – 8:00 AM

Morning welcome & breakfastWe welcome children to a warm environment followed by a wholesome breakfast that prepares them for the day to come.

8:00 – 8:30 AM

Transition to schoolThis is the transition time, which makes room for children to get ready and proceed to school.

Homework supportDuring this time, our educators help children work through their homework and finish it confidently.

Frequently Asked Questions

We can have your children picked up from various local elementary schools in the Houston and Pearland areas. For more information on the program and the pick-up facility, feel free to reach out to your nearest MSODT campus.

In most cases, there's no compulsion to admit your child to the MSODT elementary program in order to join our Before and After School program. However, we still suggest you contact your nearest MSODT campus for eligibility and other related information.

The guides at our Before and After School program work on developing independent self-study habits among children, while also offering a helping hand in areas where children need support. They may not be subject-specialised trainers, but they know how to prepare children to focus on their homework and approach it in a structured manner.

If your children finish their homework early, they get to spend time on purposeful enrichment activities such as outdoor play, creative engagements, and reading. Children may also choose to engage with Montessori materials to enjoy their time after homework.
